Learn how to create the 3D effect while making this festive quilt.
In class you will learn the steps to take to make any 3D block.
We will be cutting many strips of fabric in class as well as blocks. If you have a stripology ruler you will get to practice using it. If not you will need a long ruler for cutting width of fabric strips.
Instructor: Patty Gibian
Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate : Must be able to sew consistent ¼” seam.

Time: 10am – 2pm
Materials needed:
-1 fat quarter bundle or about 2yds of fabric
-3 ¼ yds for sashing
-1 ½ yd for shadow
-sewing machine
-basic sewing supplies: rotary cutter, pins, scissors, etc.
*fabric requirements are for our sample that is 82” x 103”. Crib, lap, twin, full, queen size fabric requirements are available by calling or visiting Birdsong.
Prepare before class:
Starch all fabrics BEFORE class
