Christa Watson is an enthusiastic fabric designer, author, and international educator who has spent over two decades sharing her deep love for the quilt-making process. Her creative journey took a transformative turn in 2013 when she discovered her passion for modern aesthetics and married it with her signature style of "perfectly imperfect" machine quilting—a liberating philosophy that prioritizes having fun and finishing projects over rigid perfection.

As an accomplished author, Christa has penned several machine quilting books featuring her tried-and-tested techniques, guiding makers from start to finish with comprehensive instructions. Her artistic eye for bold colors, rich textures, and unique geometric patterns has led to a successful partnership with Benartex, where she designs contemporary collections for their urban Contempo Studio brand.

In addition to her fabric lines, Christa focuses on developing in-depth standalone patterns, available in both print and digital formats. These projects allow her to fully explore single concepts, complete with vibrant color diagrams and tailored machine quilting suggestions.

Dedicated to empowering the global quilting community, Christa travels the world to teach, while also offering 24/7 online classes for remote learners.
