Collection: My Sew Quilty Life
Heather is the creative entrepreneur, fabric artist, and quilt pattern designer behind the recognizable brand My Sew Quilty Life. Her quilting journey began unexpectedly in 2017 while working as a newborn photographer. Ambitiously attempting to make an antiqued "Grandmother’s Flower Garden" quilt as a photo prop, she hand-sewed 1.5-inch hexagons for three years. This intensive process sparked a deep respect and lifelong love for the craft.
In 2020, seeking a simpler life centered on family, Heather left her demanding corporate career as an architectural designer to launch her own business. Utilizing her formal design background, she has since authored and published over 100 celebrated quilt patterns, with her work regularly featured in prominent industry magazines. Her success culminated in a lifelong dream in 2022 when she became an official fabric designer for Moda Fabrics. Her debut collection, Flower Girl, launched in 2023, and she has since introduced five successful lines defined by her signature pastel palette and love for antique florals and the color pink.
Based in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina, Heather manages her thriving business alongside her husband of 16 years, Zach, their sports-loving teenage son, Seth, and their goldendoodle, Griffey. Recently, she discovered a rich lineage of quilters in her family history, beautifully affirming her innate passion. Deeply rooted in her faith, Heather continues to inspire a global community of makers, sharing her artistic journey across social media @mysewquiltylife.
